So up until now I have been running 42 x 16 inter changed by a 15 for while, however just been out on a 48 x 16 and for some reason (maybe its just the weather  ) I felt faster and more efficient even the short sharp climbs on my commute were no bother? Is a larger chain ring that much easier to keep turning once you have the momentum??
