Just how tight do you have your chain on a fixed wheel bike. Mine seems to make a noise when it's pretty tight...

If its making a noise its binding and is to tight.

Those two threads have a lot of information about chain tension, and there are other threads on the subject as well. The chain is likely to have tight and slack sections. Where its tight look for about an inch of play perhaps a touch more but no more than two inches.
