I had a phantom click on one of my bikes on one chainring. It took me ages to discover that it was caused by my right calf brushing against the end of the gear cable and flicking it as I pedalled.I've replaced my entire drivetrain apart from the rear derailleur. Being the first time I've done it, I seem to have got away with it - apart from the CLICK on the biggest chainring. The other two are unaffected.
Any advice going - please?
My click turned out to be the derailleur cable catching the pedal arm
Probably this, as the front mech moves over towards the larger chain ring the end of the cable is tapping against the crank arm.
