Chainring help

i'm going to change my chainring on my create fixed. it's a 44 tooth right now and I prefer my plug which is 42 tooth and feels much better.

can I use this chain ring;
VeloSolo CNC Singlespeed MTB Chainring ANODIZED - new sizes 38t and 42t! from this site;

I know it says MTB. is this different to road chain rings? as it says single speed I figured it would fit.

As long as you get the same bcd size, you should be ok.
