The Indians are still in the semi finals at the moment, with no guarantee (probably, but that's what England thought, too, I'd imagine) of a berth in the final.

It's performances like Pakistan's that keep drawing me back to watch professional sport
Scraped into the tournament 8th out of 8. Played the top side in the first game and were atrocious and, quite rightly, got hammered. Serious cricket sites like Cricinfo were saying that it was one of the worst ODI performances they had seen
Got a couple of very stuffy wins in the round robin to somehow progress. Had to face England, the form team, and India, world number 1. Nobody gave them a chance.
They only go and hammer them both. Really amazing transformation

Pakistan are one of the most wonderfully inconsistent teams in world cricket. You never know who is going to turn up! I can't abide test cricket but the short game is exhausting and exhilarating in near equal measure.
