not sure where to put this.

as an act of stupidity I HAVE LERNT something today.

I attempted to rest my computers clock WITHOUT looking at the manual and so managed instead to completely reset it, knocking off 1500 miles that I had only just clocked up since the start of may.. the stunned silence and then the voluble swearing and chastisement, the word "stupid" was heard more than once.

sigh

anyone have any clock related "fun"?

I take it you mean your cycle computer?
It should be easy enough to put back on the computer lost mileage.

well I was considering leaving it on summer time, but decided not as I'd just get confused and run late at some point EVENTUALLY.

I grew past the speed obsession stage a while back, allow an extra 5-10 mins for the town run and take me time, much more relaxing, as its just not possible/reasonable/make much sense, to beat oneself up about a "good time" set in the better weather when there was no wind!

I also don't wear a watch because of a ganglion on my left wrist, also since stopping wearing a watch, I found my self obsessing less about time and so was less stressed.

the clock on the bike is there when I need it and feels like a very small intrusion

Oops! I tend to leave mine on summer time for this very reason.

Mine was a Christmas present so it's set to GMT... but as it's also on my old MTB I only see it in passing when I'm in the garage.

Ouch! I don't rely on my computer for time or speed, but I like to watch the mileage crop up. I think I would be distraught to lose that.

My time is kept at GMT, which is handy now... although maybe it isn't as accurate as it should be as its slow by a couple of minutes compared to when I first set it up. Does that mean I can add a couple of extra miles onto my total too?
