Will changing to clipless pedals improve my ride, I understand they take a bit of getting used to but don't mind the challenge.

Some love it. Some don't. Me? I loved it. Still do.

Love it! Full circular motion makes hills just that little bit easier so you'll have to find bigger hills.

Love them.

Can't be doing with normal pedals now (only on my MTB I have the dual sided ones to give me a choice)

The plastic clip in reflctor platforms are handy for rare occasions when wearing cleats isn't an option

Haven't noticed the "pull up" but I do feel much more secure when honking

Braw, that was painless.

Already bought the pedals just need to find some shoes. I cant ride without clips, so figured clipless was my way forward.

One of the other members of the forum rather eloquently described the pull up as "wiping the gum off your shoe" if I remember correctly.

I find Lidl's shoes quite good for general use though I will be looking for an upgrade as the cleats aren't QUITE recessed enough, only a mm or so in it but....

be sure to set them really loose until, you have a "feel for them" and also make really...really... sure they are aligned properly...not pointing in or out. If they force you to tip your feet at an angle that is uncomfortable then your knees will complain pretty sharpish.

I'm in the "love them" camp and could'nt get on with clips as they made my little toe's numb after a while.

Funny old thing this. I have clipless on my fast fixed and tourer but my hack fixed has straps and my utility beast has gone to flats. These latter 2 get used more on the spur of the moment to do things like nipping round to the supermarket for some milk, or getting something from the chippie. In these cases I don't want to faff about putting specialist shoes on, I just go wearing whatever I happen to have on.

I have to agree. I got them and the cleat on one shoe didnt recess like the other one, so was uncomfortable to walk on. I took them back and got another pair, and they were the same. Its a shame because they were lovely to ride in.

Fixed is the way to go - no more feet slipping off the pedals in the wet when you're putting the power down (and subsequently smashing the Stuart Halls on the top tube  )

Not yet put clipless pedals on the fixie - trying to get used to riding it first before I do that!
