Indeed, but we were discussing the one running Linux Mint, and why it won't switch on.

I think it was a different computer running linux we were discussing there, because he was talking about not being able to upload pictures to Wordpress, then tried here to see if it was a computer/linux issue or a Wordpress issue.

Somewhat confusing, I know.

How, then, did you manage to upload that picture? Are we talking purely about the Lenovo here?
As has been said, if no lights, then no power, so check that the wall socket and the charger are doing what they should. The laptop will likely show some kind of charging LED, even when switched off. If the socket's OK, but no LED, your charger has died and now so has your battery. The other thing I was going to ask is the full model number. 82QY is a model variant, for example on the V15 laptop, it's the variant with a Slovenian keyboard layout.

Fair question. Fortunately I waited until I had my work computer up and working, before trying to install Linux on my "home" computer.

I tend to assume things will go wrong in these situations...

Everything else works; the computer worked on Linux until I switched it off, then the next day it wouldn't switch on. The seems to be with Linux booting the computer.

And I use a German keyboard, which may explain the odd variant number.

From what you have said, it is not to do with Linux booting it.

If the light doesn't come on when you press the power button, then it isn't getting as far as trying to boot. It is a hardware issue, either with the plug/power cable, or the power supply in the computer, or the switch itself.
