The burning question of the day ........is it an iced lolley or a lolly ice ?

Only place I have ever heard it called a lolly ice was when I lived in Liverpool.

Mind you they were also sweating golfballs and fading away to a warehouse.

Mmm, strawberry Mivvi. The knack on a hot day was to eat the lolly part before the ice cream melted too much and escaped. It wasn't sealed at the bottom where the stick went in, and you could end up with a hand covered in melted ice cream

My son and his friends are debating this.
To me it was always a lolly ice.

I have never heard anybody say "lolly ice", ever.

Usually ice lolly, sometimes, but much less often, iced lolly.

Ice Lolly, also ice pops were the ones in a long, thin, clear sealed plastic bag, and if you got an ice cream you always asked for monkey blood on it!
