Mmm, strawberry Mivvi. The knack on a hot day was to eat the lolly part before the ice cream melted too much and escaped. It wasn't sealed at the bottom where the stick went in, and you could end up with a hand covered in melted ice cream
 
We called them ice pops.

Ice Lolly, also ice pops were the ones in a long, thin, clear sealed plastic bag, and if you got an ice cream you always asked for monkey blood on it! :eek:
