Changing wheels and tyres for the summer

Hi All
Having just bought a Specialized Tricross Sport 2010 I would like to change the wheels (Alex ACE-19 622x17 6061H) and tyres ( Specialized Borough Pro, 700x32c wire bead 60TPI) to something a bit quicker. I like Mavic wheels personally but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

dump the borough tyres - I, and everyone i know with a tricross, found them a flint (ie puncture) magnet

to anyone else buying a tricross, see if you can get the shop to swap them before buying!
