Hey...what do you think of the furore about C4's big fat quiz of the year prog? particularly objected to by surprise surprise The Daily Mail!...Now i like a bit of humour but some of the gags on this show were a bit grim and in very bad taste especially about Susan Boyle...That fat bloke James Corden...why do folk think hes funny...i don't get it.

Didn't see it, but have come across a couple in previous years- it's presumably trying to be cutting edge...
I do hope Jonathan Ross was on it and will finally be binned from mainstream TV.

It's supposed to be controversial... people who watch it expect that it will use abusive language and that some comments may be offensive. It's perverse to watch something purely to find fault with it.

All it seems to indicate is the stupidity of people who watch todays comedy but get upset and complain about the contents. It is rather like going to a nudist beach and being shoked at the naked people.
I watched the programme and cannot think of any offending joke in it.

These people should note that there is constantly a re-run of Last of the Summer Wine on TV (or are they new ones- who can tell) and just stick to watching that.

With that line up, what did people really expect? I watched it and thought it was perfectly OK for the time slot. I've just read the Daily Mail grip article on their site and thought the offending gags very brilliant... but then again this is the newspaper who were moaning about how many time Stephen Fry was on TV over the xmas break. Thy really need to stick to reporting the news!

As for The Susan Boyle gag, what was her PR company thinking posting a hashtag like that

You have to laugh at the daily mail, headlining their disgust and shock at the show and then they publish all the most shocking jokes. They weren't even shocking, although if I had been watching with my mum I might have had to hide my laugh at the usain bolt joke. Most of the jokes on channel 4s 8 out of 10 cats are often worse than these.

No opinion to give. Didn't see the program, don't read the Daily Mail and not curious enough to do anything about it.
