1. For each scene in any movie, how many times would that scene be practised/rehearsed & re-shot before those in charge were happy with the end product. Two - three, more? At least once, and often once, especially if Ed Wood is directing... and there's a big difference between rehearsing and 'shooting' a scene.
And what would they do with the film used in shooting a scene, that was later re-shot.

2. What would happen to all the film used in getting those scenes just right? They don't film the rehearsals, they don't like to waste film, because that's a big waste of money.
I never said that they did film the rehearsals. But what would they do with that film. Bearing in mind the content of that film.

3. Why were NASA involved in the making of a film, but never mentioned in the credits for that film? Were they really 'involved'? They might have been 'consulted' about certain aspects of space flight, but there's nothing unusual about that... films have researchers and researchers consult relevant bodies.
Yes. NASA East was the nickname given to Shepperton Studios, by NASA. Due to their frequent visits to the studios. To see that everything was correct! These visits included visits from Astronaunts, some of whom were on the Apollo program. Prior to any "landing" taking place. How do you advise someone on what a place would be like, if you have not actually been there & the only information you have has come via a third party.
NASA was using information that had been supplied by the British Interplanetary Society, based over here, for their own simulations & for the actual "landings". Sir Patrick Moore, a B.I.S. member was present at mission control, when "the eagle landed".
If information was required why not go to the same people who were supplying NASA! Would you rely on someone elses interprtation of the same information or your own?

I'm just wondering if there are any grassy knolls on the moon. I think we should be told.

...

Bloody hell you've hit on something there... how many other events do we take for granted which may have been faked in the way you suggest... bearing in mind there must be sh!t loads of unused footage from over a 100 years of cinema.

I apologise, i was starting to take you for a fool... thanks for explaining it to me

Were the D-Day landings faked with out-takes from Saving Private Ryan?

I mean... they must have had plenty of unused footage on the cutting room floor... what else would they do with it except making it black & white, really grainy and sending it back in time???

And the first manned mission to Mars will be faked using out-takes from Capricorn One, it's a no brainer!

I'm with Classic33 now... you lot are the real fools!

Yep, there's nothing the 'believers' can say over at geekschat to convince me we did in fact land humans on the moon, and returned them safely back to earth either.
So hows Elizabeth doing!
