Yes it was me pushing my bike up Boxhill on Sunday morning 11.00am ish and yes i could of ridden it as i have done many times before if i did not have a puncture that is , so why you ask would i do such a thing and admit to it especially bearing in mind i was wearing my club kit at the time. A double puncture as mentioned above caused the problem and at my insistence i waved my fellow riders on as we only had a short way to go and a presentation was about to start at Boxhill Club for the DCC Time trial and i did not want anybody to be late and I did not think I would get a puncture immediately after fixing the first one.

BUT what I really wanted to say and make a BIG point of was that we as CYCLISTS are a bloody good bunch or should say that you are, would a motorist stop to help another motorist “not on your nelly” would a cyclist stop to help another cyclist yes he would , a good 99% of people offered their help and assistance as I was fixing the puncture and 99% of people once again offered me help along with a great deal of Mikey taking ,as I pushed my bike up to the top of Boxhill were my car was parked.

So to anyone on the forum that saw me and to CYCLISTS in general Chapeau and a big thank you for making me smile after a 30 mile ride a bloody big push up Boxhill …and once again we are a BLOODY GOOD BUNCH OF PEOPLE, despite what the others think :bicycle:

I had a puncture two weeks ago,i set off on the long walk home but some cyclists were out walking after their ride and saw my predicament. They arranged for their mate to drop off a tube and tyre if required. They fitted the tube for me and wouldn't take a penny for their kindness! Yes cyclists do seem to look out for each other!

I stopped on a ride recently along the Peak Forest canal to unclog the mud from the rear mudguard. As I was doing this 2 cyclists passed and each of them stopped and asked If I needed any help - they thought I had a puncture as I was knelt down by the back wheel with the mudguard off.
It was good to know there are people out there that will offer assistance if needed.
