Yes. (I put something up about it in the Frightfully Serious Rides and Not Racing At All board)

Can you enter on the line? The website seems unclear.

Edit - it's not Cheam and Morden's doing this year but Sarf West Lunnon CTC.

For some reason I thought this was on the 15th and had discounted it as I'm on call! I've now already agreed to be out for a century next Sunday and looking back to how much I suffered on this in 2011, I doubt I could do both

Tim:YES, you can enter on the line. I will be on the checkin desk so stop and say hello - I will wear my usual black and red and will respond to Geoffrey.
Martin: I do not doubt yr powers. See you there 0930 ish.

Top stuff. I nearly broke the habit of a lifetime and pressed "like".
Well I'm only about 10% in to the Equilibrium build so it is easy to roll it back. And I'll remove the cobwebs.

On the other hand i am also in possession of a white industries freewheel......

Weather looking favourable...

@GrumpyGregry , how goes the rebuild/spider eviction?
spiders gone but re-rebuild stalled. Badly. Had a pingf*ck and now have a useless flappy front mech. Which I was going to replace anyway. Me and Shimano front mechs got form and it seems their campag cousins feel the same way about me.

Singlespeed seems likeliest option. I did 50 odd km on it in fixed mode last weekend. So 57" and a freewheel ought to be ok oughtn't it?

Provided I can lengthen the chain this evening I'll only have to pedal 25km. That is how it works isn't it?

I can always walk up the bits I can't ride. I've seen folk with gears do that before!

The fixed isn't. It is now a singlespeed. It involved the use of a hacksaw and I somehow lost some paint on the chainstay and it is filthy and needs cleaning but tis done. I shall get the 09h04 from Horsham to Box Hill and Westhumble lest it ends up as the Hilly 100 like the last time I did it.

Thanks for keeping an eye on me @Tim Hall hope I didn't slow you down to much.

Clocked up 52km by the time I got home after leaving you on Pitch Hill; flip my legs are sore. But I reckon with a stone less blubber and a few more km's in my legs that route is surviveable do-able on singlespeed.

Not at all. A cracking day out. Having broken GrumpyGregry just out of Ewhurst, my next target was my mate Jan. Having not been on the bike for $TOO_LONG, he startedto feel the hills. By the time we got to the Volunteer he was done. We bimbled on and he bailed at the A25, heading for Deepdene station.

I puffed up White Down, whizzed down to West Humble and up the zig zags. Managed to break the front clippy bit of a pedal about 800m from the finish. Saw Charlotte and Wascally Weasel (NOTP) mooching around while I queued for Fruit and Nut and Chocolate cake.

As I said a really good day. However I think the best bit was bumping into Life of Brian who said he really must do another FNRTTC. Yay!
