False economy, I have had now had 3 of the metal type fail at the weld. Best getting a decent one at a bit more £ in the long run and also to avoid failure while en route.

(same name as a northern english town, or a west lothian one)

Cheap cages are for sure a false economy, they either rattle, fail or they aren't tight enough and the bidon's bounce out and you loose them to car's behind, or if you are in a group, you might wipe out your group!

Elite Custom cages are good and don't cost a lot.

I like the Tacx Tao. Nice (if slightly unusual) styling. 37g - very light for a metal cage. Rubber coating grips most bottles well, but you can bend them a bit to suit yours if a little loose. Not sure about the latest "ultralight" version which is no lighter and seems to be all plastic.
