Damn. I saw the Speed Ferries link and thought - 'Ooh that would make for a nice springtime jaunt'.

Still I'd have thought both sides had an incentive to reach a deal.

I heard a chap on R4 this morning bemoaning the fact that he'd recently bought a book of 10 tickets and was unable to get an answer from Speedferries about a refund. I'm just astonished that they've only ever had ONE vessel!

etape hotels are budget ibis hotels (both part of accor group) , you'll find one in most towns and they've got everything you need

use them for nearly all the family holidays when driving through France.
