I got one of these from ebay £20 , works fine, gets your back wheel off the ground so you can do gears and things, dead small , don,t take any room.

Cheers for the replies everyone! I would buy one from Lidl but my two local stores don't stock them unfortunately so I guess I'll have to order it from Ebay - I'll let you know how I get on with it :biggrin:

There were around five in the local store on Sunday, as I already have one can vouch for home maintenance purposes they are fine. At that price too it's a no brainer.

I have a bench mounted one that I bolted to a very sturdy worktop. The horizontal arm is about 15 inches from the bench so it doesn't wobble much. I clamp onto the nose of my Charge Spoon saddle rather than the seat post because it's closer to the centry of gravity. It works quite well.
