I wasn't aware of this, not sure if it is of any use to anyone, but it appears that Ofcom are upset that people who may be eligible for lower rated Broadband are not taking up the offer, only 5% of the 4.3 million. I suspect this is due to very few people knowing about it, but if you are in receipt of Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Jobseeker’s Allowance and Income Support. Some providers might include additional benefits, like Personal Independence Payment and Attendance Allowance.

The networks have done their best to keep it quiet. It'd take a direct question on it to find out about it, if you didn't know about it.

But if you didn't know about it, how can you ask about it?
