Check your Bolt Holding Your Mech on !!

Changed the cassette for a new one yesterday and noticed there was a lot of play in the rear mech !

Must have been working loose over time as the bolt holding it to the hanger was a good half turn + loose , no wonder my jockey wheels would pull over the chain when back pedaling.

Now i have changed the chain,cassette and tightened the bolt up the bike runs a lot sweeter .

These are the little things that catch you out..i had similar with a jockey wheel bolt that came loose and dropped out 10 mies from home. It meant freewheeling and side pushing the bike all the way home.
Perhaps once in a while, a thorough checkover of all the bits and bobs is the thing to do. Thats my job for tomorrow then
