So, was chatting to a male friend last night about the fact I cycle regularly with chaps in lycra and that, just very occasionally, one's eyes drift to checking out the package. All subconsciously of course.

Anyway, the friend said the thought chaps wouldn't mind that at all, might actually like it.

So what do you chaps think?

had to go with don't care either way, as I improve I hope to be in a position to fire of my own admiring glances(probably females only, but you never know:biggrin:) and, if a person is myopic enough, receive some of my own. At the moment I'm just too tired to notice either way. If another rier catches me staring it will generally be backed by envious/murderous thoughts about how much easier they're making it look.

By the way AH, you may have to change your sig, your persistent high mielage performances, couple with speed improvements, are getting you back towards the 'hate' zone

I have to say that those of us chaps who don't have an in interest in other chaps have no right to complain!

The first time I appeared in lycra before a female friend her eyes locked on as if magnetised. It was very, very funny.

The hotel I stayed at in Austria recently had a steam room. Protocol dictates that people wear no swimming apparel in there.

I did not need to be that covert about looking, as some of the men seemed very relaxed about being seen. Most of them were very fit skiers, mostly German but some Finnish and one Italian. No English men, so a direct comparision was tricky! I could also watch them in the open-plan showers.:smile::evil: (Who showers with their eyes open?)

If it's obvious then it makes me feel uncomfortable. I suspect as some women might feel when ogled.

I don't mind anyone looking (it's not like there's a lot to see!) but just don't let me know about it. One of my wife's female friends 'checked me out' once, in my wife's presence. That wasn't a pleasant feeling.

I put that I don't really care...however in hindsight...most female riders I ever ride with at 30/40+..... and that would just be kind of creepy...

Yes, this is partly what I was driving at (not merely meaning to be puerile).

I think if I were a chap I'd be uncomfortable thinking people were checking me out, but my chum yesterday said he would take it as a real compliment. I was trying to discover if he's unusual or if most chaps take the compliment rather than feeling embarrassed.

As a second point, I don't think I ogle any more than the average woman in company with a group of chaps in lycra. And I am also about to go out and do something more useful... go cycling!

I never used to think about it...until after I had some Campag Metal Series bibshorts for a couple of years..where the pad to short stitching is silver coloured...kind of draws peoples eyes to your bulge...they were demoted to winter under-the bibtights duties. A shame as they were easily the most comfortable shorts I ever had.

I don't mind, however after 60 miles riding in the freezing cold people are more likely to notice that I have 3 adams apples.

Well, actually.... I have, um, a kind of, err, different problem...

I find that if I have occasion to stop for a wee (which is all too darned frequently!) then the old fella seems to get a little, um, shall we say, tumescent. Now, I dunno whether it's because there's suddenly more blood flowing down there (due to me having been seated, and so numbed, for a while) and it's a natural but involuntary reaction, or there's some repressed flasher urges within me, but whatever it is I do find I have to wind it back in and that I'm doing Boonen (or should that be 'bone on') impressions for the next few km!

If women want to check my package, then I'm not complaining. There's been times when woman have been going past in a car and shout comments like nice a*rs and all that, but I'm not bothered, in fact I think it's funny.

They're probably just taking the p*ss though, or they must be blind
