I got told on Tuseday by the MD that he thinks I am a vital part of the future of the company and given a £2k pa payrise. We got told today to take Monday off.

This is good .

When he called me to his office I really did think I was going to be told that they were closing down our department and "so long pal". It's a new department for the firm and a new trade to me - it's only been going 18 months. The firm has recently been taken over and our department has had it's difficulties recently. So it was the best of all surprises.

There were no caveats in the offer and it was made clear that it was a reward for the graft I have put in .


It's right cheered me up.
