Chess more dangerous than cycling!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just read this. Two chess players have died in Tromso. One whilst actually playing.

One of the deceased's sons was present as was his wife.

Having a heart attack through the stress of playing I can imagine. I used to play a lot (got into the British Junior squad - just) and I can remember sometimes being sat at the board, or coming out of the room with my heart pumping and high on adrenaline. Especially after being under stress like playing a complicated game (concentrating hard) and getting very close to running out of time on the clock.

There's very little physical exertion but mentally it can be draining.

I used to get palpitations and an adrenaline rush when being combative playing bridge. I gave the game up for less stressful motorcycling.
