Once the weather warms up I want to ride to work on my bike. I usually wear hose/tights with my work outfit. Will wearing them on a bike ride well, destroy them? Any advice/experance would be helpful. Thanks! 💕
Hello and welcome to CC!
Yes, your normal tights will get ripped.
Better wear some cycle tights, or running leggings, or similar with no seams at the bits that meet the saddle.
Depending on the weather, you could also wear seamless shorts, then changing at work.
No gear will last forever, depending on how much you ride, of course.
Does this not depend on the distance of the commute - ? Seen plenty of lasses cycling whilst wearing ordinary tights, but it's fairly obvious that their particular commute is no more than a couple of miles or so.

If you visit Copenhagen, you'll see plenty of women cycling to work in their normal workwear; skirt, tights, stilettos... I don't think the Danes have a concept of cycle specific clothing.
