When I was 5 I was walking to the church with my class and bumped into this post box in Plaistow Lane, Bromley. http://g.co/maps/xxgnx I remember apologising to the fat lady in the red dress.

Not a childhood misunderstanding but that reminds me of a Radio 4 programme that was on a short while ago. It was called ''Crossing Continents.'' But I always found myself hearing ''Cross Incontinents,'' as though it were some reworking of the ''Grumpy Old...'' theme.

i remember the dj at a caravan park in wales going on about caravan rocking competitions at night.
i was only about 8 and thinking why do it at night and what for .
it was some years later i found out what was really meant. doh

As a kid I always wondered how they managed to play football in Switzerland. It seemed to me the ball would always be rolling away down the mountain.

On a non childhood/Radio 4 theme......There is a program on in the evening called 'Front Row' presented by Memark Lawson. Just listen to the trailer for it earlier in the day.
