Struggling to get that one without spending as much again on postage, distinct lack of this stuff in the shops - is La Chinata as good?
And there's 3 types, sweet, bitter-sweet and hot

no need for mail order...
Barts spices do hot and sweet versions - try waitrose.
Sainsbury do a tinned pimenton

You'll be absolutely fine with La Chinata - its proper DOP stuff from La Vera. I only bought the Santa Domingo one because I liked the tin!

I'd agree with Velvet Curtain - go for the sweet one.

Edit: looks as if Sainsbury stocks La Chinata.

The perfect chilli...

1 onion chopped
400g minced beef
1tbsp tomato puree
Can chopped tomatoes
1 tsp coriander
1 tsp cumin
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp hot chilli powder
1 tsp dried chilli flakes
1 dried habanero chilli (very hot) chopped
2 dried chipotle chillies chopped (add a smoky flavour)
1 oxo cube
Sometimes for extra heat I add a squirt of chilli puree and a fresh chilli or 2 (I love chillies)
Bung it all together and cook for an hour. Makes a hot and spicy chilli

I put way more cumin in than that, couldn't tell you how much more, I just keep piling it in until it's just right!
