Subway looks nice, but I do like white bikes.
I'd try them both and choose what feels right .

Yep,it's looking like that one.....at the minute anyway.Just need to try the other first!

Canal towpaths that get muddy also get solid ruts in dry weather and you can feel like you are getting your wheel caught in the recess of a tramline in the road. You want wider tyres to feel in control. A pathway I use is solid enough and has a nice surface but it can get crowded. No problem if I have wide tyres, I can drop onto the bridleway which has sand but I can't pass other users easily if I have narrower tyres because the sand suddenly gets deep in parts and you're off if you switch from one surface to the other.

No contest. My Carrera Subway has been a make that has been sold by Halfords for more years than I can remember.It has stood the test of time.
