Situation normal for the time of year. Nice ride today, warm too; could've done without the leg warmers but I keep them on because it looks more pro.

Hayfever, isn't it? Sounds like the same nuisance that I'm facing.

This smog is bad where we are as well.Lincolnshire is in the danger zone today. I was blaming the oil seed fields as I have gotten very chesty(have hayfever already) can't stop coughing. Its playing havoc with my knee as well as its seizing up big style

For comparison, it's not just London. The Cotswolds have had a haze all week. Definitely noticed some throat problems. On & off the bike.

Well it was the last day of term and they went home early anyway, but yeah, senior management overkill nannying a bit methinks.

Throat was a bit scratchy yesterday, but sure part of that was placebo effect with it being in the news and work telling me not to cycle in!

I changed to my summer route this morning, rather than using the winter route into London, as the blanket of smog has been ruining the view (well, what view there is...)

While the traffic drives faster on the summer route, it was much more inviting riding into the countryside rather than into the smoke/fog.
Although it was much harder work on the summer route as there are alot more hills to kill myself on...

Seems t have cleared the South East of the UK.

There was a wind in Courchevel today. Saharan dust stained the snow slightly orange. I felt a bit breathless sometimes. Was it simply dreadful? Did I phone the BBC or my lawyer.... was I simply disgusted....?

I was in surrey today, and disturbingly - despite the level of air pollution - a lot of people were burning off with smoky fires.

On the upside, my mild asthma must be undetectable now: nary a cough
