I'm only starting this thread to delay the job of cleaning the shower.

We've got one of those walk-in ones with the big glass side panels, that look cool in the ads but in reality only stay clean for a short while, and if you live in a hard water area like we do, the glass gets scaled-up and it's a bugger to shift.

I've found a great spray that gets through the stuff but it stinks to high heaven and because it ruins clothes quicker than it cleans the shower, I usually have to strip off and wade about covered in it for an hour which is not fun at all.

Thankfully it's not an every day job, but what's the one chore you hate to do?

Cheers,
Shaun

Now funny that you post this as I got an email from a friend just today that said that WD40 is really good for cleaning the glass door on the shower- just a small amount needed. No idea if it works at all.

I think my one is putting dishes away after they've dried on the airer but in the scheme of things it doesn't really bother me too much.

That's called elsing in our house.

There's two chores for me...

picking up cat 'doings' from the lawn (none of late, thankfully) - has to be done.

Washing the car - can't be bothered, never gets done.

Anyway, thread started - get your Marigolds on and get going, chop chop, quick as you like!

Tidying my cupboard. I say my cupboard (its a walk in room about 8ft long, 3 ft wide)...the wife keeps dumping excess household stuff in there. I cant keep my stuff tidy, let alone the rest of it.
I go in there once in a while, start tidying...and give up 5 minutes later. Happens every time.

I dislike paying bills, not so much the paying for services but the act of finding the bill, digging out the cheque book, filling it all in, getting an envelope and stamp and then posting the damn thing.

I also dislike filing paperwork having had to do it for work for many, many years.

Cleaning the shower is goood! I spray everything with the cleaner then get in and attack it with the sponge pad thingy then turn on the water and rinse everything. Squeegy it all off, dry with the special cloth and stand back and admire the gleaming chrome and sparkling white. Luvverly.

Cleaning out the trap is not nice though; it stinks, it's full of nasty soap scum and huge lumps of Mrs Gti's long hair. Makes me heave.

I hate cleaning out the cat litter trays. Once a day, every day.....not my favourite task. The other half does cat puke, but alas the cats are not sick every day. Not alas for the cats, obviously, but alas that the other half doesn't have as much clearing up to do.
Putting the bins out. Hate that too.
And ironing.

Mrs rich p makes me use a spray after showering which apparently stops the clag from building up. It seems to work as we have hard water and I've only had to do the Admin thing once in 3 years.

Changing the duvet cover.

I'm always convinced I'm going to end up trapped inside...

Hoovering I suppose, not so much the doing it but the wrestling the hoover out from its home under the sofa. I only have the one room to do, for goodness sake.

And anything involving phoning up about, it's almost a phobia.

Vinegar is supposed to work on limescale, and windows, so ought to be good on the shower.

And Globalti, I hate the hair down the drain thing too. I use one of those strainer things over the plughole. Simple to pick the hair out each time, preferably when it's dried out a bit, instead of it accumulating out of sight.
