I have the Ezi-Clamp plastic springs in normal clamps. They are a partial solution. They stop the clamp plates rotating, and also push them clear so that the plates don't get stuck on the frame. This minimises paint damage and false starts. However, they don't materially speed up folding or unfolding because the thrust on the threads means the clamps can no longer be spun freely.
