My brother did some filming with him on moths at Wicken Fen for BO goes wild.
Apparently he's not the most likeable chap....( that was censored!)
As a kid I used to idolise him, and my brother too for that matter.
I am glad he is likeable. It makes me cross when someone I have admired turns out to be a complete tosser/bitch.

did you hear him on desert island discs? that got quite a lot of praise as it gave an insight into him he was so open upfront and honest with every question asked. It should be able to be downloaded on their website if memory serves.

I think Chris Packham does a great deal of good for conservation, from just raising awareness, to having the balls to have a right old go at anything from illegal raptor persecution in the uplands, to Maltese hunters, busy blasting red listed turtle doves (and the rest) out of the skies.
I think he also inspires youngsters about the natural world and let's face it, without that we're all farked.
Anyone who chooses the Jesus and Mary Chain's song, 'Happy when it when it rains' on a normally dreary Desert Island Discs programme has to be a top bloke. The world could do with a whole lot more Chris Packhams I reckon!

I always liked him, he used to be on The Really Wild Show. Now Michaela Strachan, she just annoyed me.

you leave Michaela Strachan alone they are a good team and i think Mr Packham quite likes her too

I always liked him. Liked him even more when it was noticed he always tries to get a reference to a Morrisey/Smiths song in his presentations. Not that I'm a big fan of misery, I just liked trying to identify the line from the song or title.

I reckon Packham's a goodie while Oddie's a plain nasty.

However, while I still watch them, the Autumnwatch/Springwatch presentation does put the people too much in the way of the animals for me. The wildlife doesn't need such heavy packaging.

Personally selected for the comp by Pete Waterman, interviewed by Michaela.....what's not to like? I used to have the episode on VHS but it has "disappeared"

I had a friend who was on hitman and her. He had told his girlfriend he was staying in that evening as he had an early start for work th next day so it wouldn't be worth her coming to his house.

She stayed up to watch hitman. And spotted my mate bopping away with his tongue down some other girls throat.

The confrontation in the pub on the Friday after was legendary.
