Christmas dinner booked for 21 retired lads,at The Cuthbert Brodrick here in Leeds.When i retired six years ago one bloke who i had worked with wanted to keep in touch so we met for lunch once a month.Six years later that group is now 20,word has just spread like a wildfire,the other one is a mate who is still working.
So at 12-30 on 12-12 -12,we shall demolish 21 portions of roast turkey and all the trimmings,7 portions of xmas pudd with custard 11 portions of xmas pudd with brandy sauce and one portion of choc mint cheesecake,and two of them want a starter,plus copious amounts of booze.
I am the secretary of said group,it's very important to keep together we spent years with each other,and on our monthly meetings time flies and many laughs are had.

i have booked mine too , the misses is cooking the bird and muggins will be washing up , we are booked to sit at the only table in the dinning room , at the time its ready on christmas day . would throw an open invitation but we have a table full already .
