Actually not sure if that is still available. We used to make Snakebites mixing that and bottles of Holsten Pils back in the day

Gaymers Old English cider and Emva Cream sherry - beloved of alcoholics on a budget because it is a cheap and efficient way to get smashed quickly.

Neat spirits, such as vodka or whisky, lack the volume to be swiftly absorbed.

I remember going to quite a posh hotel for NYE dinner dance type thing when I was a lot younger with the to-be Mrs Nickyboy. First time to something like that and I was a bit taken aback by the prices of the drinks.

A quick tot up identified the drink with the most alcohol per £ and thus the one to go with for the evening.

I was going to put that, but I was trying to sound posh.

I've been in charge of buying the drinks for us this Christmas and I think I've covered all bases (I started buying back in October). Several bottles of whisky & 2 bottles of brandy for me. Rum, Malibu, Cointreau, Disarrano and Baileys for the wife, Bucks Fizz for when we open presents in the morning and a bottle of sparkly for dinner. It's going to be a merry Christmas

3 people of drinking age in this household and we will have 1 maybe 2 bottles of alcohol for xmas if we are lucky!

then again we aren't heavy drinkers here and it will take the parents a year or two to get through 1 bottle of wisky for example
