Christmas Gifts, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Surprisingly nothing bad this year. We only do presents for the kids on my side, so the crap usually comes from SILs, but wine and a Decathlon voucher were well received.

Good, daughter bought me some Ergon GP3's for the commuter and son contributed to my toolbox.

Wife got me a few bits and a few weekends away booked.

I bought her a paddle board to compliment her 'wild swimming'.

Pump, Hi Vis Jacket, lights and lock.

Bad:
Crisps - now got a junk food hangover

A years membership to the National Trust.
Meal out at a posh place in Salford.
Stockport County mug.
Ridge Monkey for the campervan.

Bad -
Man flu

They all clubbed together and bought me an iPhone 12 mini, so very pleased this year.

Good - A posh bluetooth speaker for turbo sessions and some posh shampoo for afterwards.

Bad - A dose of plantar fasciitis (sore foot) so I have to rest until it gets better.

Ugly - The weather. Thanks Meteo-Santa!

Absolutely nothing, just as wanted. Last present bought or received (save a coaster from the best mate last year, and an album I sent her this- I had two copies) was 2004. Good riddance.

I do like novelty socks. I'm easily pleased.

the one thing i didn't want was another mug because my mug shelf is full of mugs i like... I got a giant 'bah humbug' novelty mug; three times the size of a standard mug which will be going directly to the charity shop. In it was three marzipan bars. I don't like marzipan.

I did get some lovely cosy bootie slippers though which shall be fixed to my feet most days for the next few years

My aunt always sends me a Christmas cake. I don't like it so I crumble it into oatmeal to make muesli.

I've not had any novelty bike socks for nearly 3 years now. Doesn't feel right without a pair or two
