Me too now brandy butter in the fridge, mince pies all baked. Nothing left for tonight except putting some prunes in to soak in earl grey tea for the stuffing tomorrow

just finished Christmas eve family film; Narnia in 3D, now waiting to go to a harvester to eat and we'll drop a present off on the way and then it's off to Winchester Cathedral for Midnight Mass (man it lasts for ages so won't be home and in bed until nearly 2am!)

Ready to start,just survived the Trafford Centre which was empty at 3pm so i managed to get the last bits and bobs even with four kids and the "Boss" in tow.... RESULT !!!!

Just going to cut up the fruit for tomorrows breakfast then I'm going to assemble tonights meal of Tuna Caesar Salad, crack open a bottle of Viognier and relax.

They go into a chestnut, prune and pork stuffing, plus a few roasted whole around the turkey

My dad has made it every Christmas of my life (and probably years before that as well). I can't imagine Christmas without it.

Oh my! that song breaks my heart! I broke up with someone once near Christmas and he sent the words of that with my Christmas present. Still a good song though.


As for me, I am finishing baking the 1000th mincepie (might as well be), and then I'm going to play my fiddle till my fingers bleed and/or until everyone else joins in!

Or leaves. Whichever. As long as they don't stop me, I'm happy.
