So, with only 165 shopping days to go who has started either buying or creating a list for their ther half?

Mrs T gets everything for the kids, so luckily I only have her to buy for.

Not actually bought anything yet but the list is started.

1. Christmas is commercialised bollox, designed purely to empty anything that might somehow still be remaining in our bank accounts.
2. Don't know who my other half will be in 5 months time!

So I guess that rules out Christmas shopping for the other half in July .

Yours etc.,

Christmas shopping starts in January and gets stored around the house- I could never afford to do it all in Nov/ Dec, therefore both the kids are finished and a lot of family is bought for as well as and when sales come up in places. Couldn't afford it other wise.

I have Hubby to buy for and that's it. If he chooses to buy for his Dad & Sisters that is up to him but I generally get him something about a week before Xmas. He wants new bib shorts so I can get them without leaving the house
Far too early to be thinking about the middle of winter. Are you trying to wish the warm weather away?

Somewhere between
  • 12th December - brother's birthday,
  • 24th - father's birthday
  • 26th - friend's birthday,
  • 27th - wedding anniversary,
  • 29th - brother in laws & my birthday,
  • 1st Jan - friend's birthday
Christmas does not get considered until a suitable day to ignore it - like the 25th! We prefer to be up a mountain somewhere in Scotland.

Someone once asked me in September what my plans for Christmas were. i laughed, and told her to "get the f*ck outta here!" in disbelief. Why why why would you start thinking about it now? OK, if you're planning summat 'big' and have to sort out plans/organisation/finances etc, fair enough, but if it's a choice between a Kindle and a poncho, then "get the f*ck outta here!"
