I noted the 'festive' November issue of Gardeners World is out....in October.

Our local garden centre opened their massive Christmas display at the weekend.
I suspect Christmas is a huge proportion of their annual turnover.

The wife and I were in Barnard Castle on Sunday and had a look in Yorkshire Trading ~ Mariah bl**dy whatsername blaring out of the speakers. They were actually playing Magic Fm Christmas FFS! It was the 12th October, about 17 degrees C outside and blazing sunshine! What's the bl**dy matter with these people? Wishing their lives away for the sake of one day in the interests of spending money on excess & tat .

Tried a packet of McVities chocolate digestives gingerbread flavoured from Aldi.
Not my sort of thing normally but they were rather enjoyable.

It isn't so much "the people", it is the shops trying to cash in on their most lucrative time of year. And all wanting to be "first" to gain that competitive edge.

One main one in the parlour, two or three smaller in the entrance hall etc, one in the downstairs toilet. Plenty of holly etc. Also decorating the yew in the garden.
