There's a house near me that has all its garden/hedge Christmas lights on every night and has done since 2024.

There is a block of flats near to me and one of the windows has flashing Christmas lights in it all year round.

Last Sunday I rode through the hamlet of Wham, North Yorkshire. I’ve been having a seasonal earworm all week.

I can’t go near that place without thinking about the song. Unfortunately I pass the turnoff at least once a week.

I can’t go near that place without thinking about the song. Unfortunately I pass the turnoff at least once a week.

There are two bus routes that serve our neighbourhood, one is a bit more rural and passes a turnoff with a sign that says " Pine Lane leading to Happy Bottom ". It always makes me smile and spend a couple of minutes pondering on what defines having a happy bottom.

I once lived next to a house where that happened, it was the flies that alerted the neighbours, there wasn’t enough left of the corpse to ascertain the cause of death. How I wish I had climbed in and left a blood-stained knife under the bed.

i'd go for a chalked biblical phrase, perhaps "I will cut them off from the people", and a stake through the heart

I've just taken this photo after seeing this thread. As you can see, I have two Christmas themed cups on my draining rack. I use them all year round, so I wouldn't say they were early signs of Christmas.😉
