Jeremy Clarkson co-owning the production company would likely profit massively from an end to the BBC relationship.

So is the Clarkson Show soon going to ITV or even Sky ?

Sabine Schmidt. Would get rid of the British Boys Club atmosphere without loosing any focus on cars and fun.
Sabine Schmitz already presents for the German D-Motor series. She'd be great for Top Gear but I doubt she'd do a full run.

Where it me, I'd do something like HIGNFY did after Angus Deayton left- guest presenters with Hammond and May. The guest presenter thing works well there....

I quite like this guy, after watching his "A car is born" type of shows.

I like the programs he's done, but I can't see him presenting Top Gear. May as well get Quentin Wilson or Jon Bentley to do it.

Item 1 here. Shows the biggest problem with Clarkson. He is the main draw of the show.

I get to watch the American version of it. The parallels being 3 presenters with 'personalities' - all seems a bit forced though. Most of the ones I've seen don't bother with any studio pieces, they are 'challenge' type programs - each one chooses a car, does challenges and at the end the winner gets to drive whatever that weeks choice of supercar is.

Whatever one's personal views regarding if Clarkson is funny or not, or if he is replaceable, surely the real issue here is should the BBC turn a blind eye to violence in the workplace if an individual earns them vast amounts of money, my personal opinion is no, if after an investigation it turns out he did assault someone, then he has to go. If any other individual assaulted a colleague in the workplace they would be shown the door.

Matured like a fine wine, eh? I suppose it's in the laps of the...err..people who run the show really...no doubt I'd give it a go...just seems a bit much at the moment...I found a gash in my tyre this morning...and had a very nice conversation with a very obnoxious person, who's shown a different side to themselves...too...much...change...deep breaths...

Like the wine recently uncorked recovered from a sunken sailing ship?

Oh my god what pathetic statement, linking punching someone (alleged) with mass murders at schools in the US. Get a life.

You're making the link. I said that suggesting an escalation of violence as a potential solution is dumb.

ETA: Looking back, I didn't even say that. I inferred it. It is dumb though.
