I know the 'jct 30/M62' area very well, & yes, the trucks do park for their stops there
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cp8yx4xv2l7o.amp
However, as is usual around the country, there's not really the facilities for trucks to park
There is Whitwood Truck Stop, at jct31, but they could be going over-hours to get there (plus the risk of not getting a place, as there's no pre-booking!) https://exelbyservices.co.uk/truck_parking/whitwood/
Jct 30 now has a large Amazon warehouse/hub there, & a 'Newcold Distribution' centre there too, with more units to be constructed (on the old NewMarket Colliery site)
As usual, once they've unloaded, they want them off the site ASAP, out of hours, or not
The two companies mentioned could easily have set aside some land there, for parking, even if at a minimal cost
I think the situation now, is that local Councils that veto'ed new truck parking can be over-ruled, by central Government, as part of a 'national infrastructure??
(unless, perhaps a local MPs seat is shaking???, or that me being cynical?)
