Classic Trucks, Wagons

Saturday 29th

I’ve just driven through North Featherstone, to Wickes & PC World, at Pontefract (near the racecourse & jct32/M62)

There was a few kids, on the wall near the Church, all performing the old ‘Air Horn’ pull!
How many kids know that nowadays, unless they’ve seen Smokey & The Bandit/Convoy

Sunday 30th

Not sure where to put this
Hagglund BV206

Normanton Industrial Estate
Near jct 31/M62

Apologies for quality, but brambles/palisade fence/chain-mesh fence made focusing awkward

I once ran the Cross Bay Challenge (1/2 marathon over the sands of Morecambe Bay, 'Bay Search & Rescue' shadowed us/piloted the front runners; https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/best-looking-car-of-all-time.182831/page-12#post-3778406
They also have a 'Sherp' now!

I’m quite sure that this is the Foden tractor-unit, l saw this morning
It had 2 Transits on a flat-bed trailer

We were heading home from Wales
It was westbound by Scammonden Dam, on the M62, about 11:00

Taken this morning

I’m not sure what ‘Road-run’ was taking place?

Tuesday 27th

I know l haven’t renewed the subscription, but it arrived in todays post

I still wonder if it’s because they took over (the much better) ’Truck & Driver’, & an extended subscription is a kind of appeasement?
