I have recently acquired this beautiful frame and forks, and am hoping somebody out there may be able to help with its model and approx date of manufacture.
Its been refinished by Bob Jacksons of Leeds at some point in the 80s / 90s going on the sticker on the seat tube.
The frame number 962165 which from research i have done makes it around 1948/49 but i am not sure.
Any information would be of great help. Thanks Dave.

That really is a lovely frame. There's quite a lot of info about Claud Butler on the web. You could start with Classic Lightweights.

#96xxxx stands for 1949 6 (June), model is the International Club "welded" (i.e. fillet brazed in CB terms) frame. Cable guides on BB shell and chainstay are later additions. Nice restoration, though.
