Had anybody owned one of these? Need to replace by commuter bike and have seen one of these up for sale. Its a few years old but condition looks good for the price. Commute is mostly roads but I sometimes take a detour home via offroad hills.

Claude Butler have a reputation for reliable but uninspiring bikes. As someone once said, the type of bike your uncle would own - ! If it's in good condition and a chromoly frame, I'd say go for it. All the addons can be replaced / upgraded, but as long as the frame is in good nick.

Looks like a budget hybrid with suspension fork probably produced in China from not too distant past. They may still produce them. Aluminium frame. Won't be a ball of fire but should serve as a basic commuter. You really don't need that fork but apart from that if it's in good order and cheap enough it could be a good buy. Check all the usual things.

30lbs Alu frame standard hybrid. Comes in different versions with different grades of Shimano gears. They all work well be higher grade ones ate better. Good basic transportation.
