Cleaning The Chain Cleaner?

Just wanted to ask this same question.

I find, after a while, the chain gets gritty when you rock it between your fingers. Vision cleaners do a lot to fix this, but my mickling seems to fail at that point.

How do you clean the cleaner? Bath of degreaser?

Or is there an advanced mickle step I'm missing?

Or a record for nobody addressing the question?

My chain cleaner is fairly manky, and it seems a shame to sling it in the landfill.

Is it the kind that runs the chain in a bath through some brush wheels?

If so, I direct a hose at one end causing the brush wheels to spin at high revs and dislodge as much grit as possible.

I'll point it at the worst part of my garden and report back tonight.

Do i need a riot shield to avoid self splatting?
My garden hose has a narrow jet option, which I direct at one end of the chain cleaner then swap it round and blast from the other end. Just make sure you keep the lid on it and it shouldn't make a mess of you.
