It's great the kids being away from school. Suddenly the ride seems so much easier and quicker. Superb morning for it in manchester today,. even a sight tailwind. And green traffic lights! Smashed my record commuting in - 5.5miles average speed 21.4 mph! that's nearly 10% up from my previous best and about a third higher than a 'normal' winter time. Absolutely flying. Huge grin as I arrived to work.

Some days you can't beat cycling.

Loving the empty roads myself....

But off work next week with the family^_^ so cycling time will be a bit restricted:sad:...........

Yep, brilliant during school holidays. Makes a whole heap of differenced. Not only with less traffic, but the drivers that are on the road seem to be more courteous rather then the manic 'have to be somewhere' mum and dads.

Ah i wondered why I was flying down the a34 this morning. I hadn't thought of the tailwind. But yes very quick commuting times. Don't forget the students are off as well, so south Manchester is very quiet.
