I am pretty sure I went to that pub when I was cycling Lands End to John O Groats. I stopped off at Glencoe, looking for somewhere to stop for the night. I tried this place, which is also a hotel. The prices were way high and they pointed me in the direction of the youth hostel a mile into the village. It was a Saturday night, so I went back to go to the bar. It was big bar and absolutely heaving. I was surprised because that part of Scotland did not very densely populated. Most the drinkers seemed to be either hikers or bikers. They had lots of great beers. The barmaids were all tall and fair. The barmen were all very tall and handsome (gits). There was a fab covers band called Tongue n Groove. You'd have thought they'd be a traditional folk music band with a name like that, but no, they were a really good rock covers band. Sort of wished I wasn't on my own. It was the middle of June and even at closing time I could still see my way back to the hostel with no street lamps, and no moon.
