First night commuting in the dark for many folk.

Be careful these next two weeks as people are suddenly adjusting to driving in the dark - When I 'drove' 30 miles to and from work, these first two weeks after the clocks were always the worst for accidents and long delays on the motorways especially.

Take care peeps (and make sure your batteries are charged/fresh) !

Just swapped for my commute. Has been dark in the morning, now it'll be dark at night. Soon it'll be dark both ways (had lights on this morning as there didn't seem any harm in it!)

Had lights on few a few weeks now. 6pm finish and 35min ride home means even if its not dark when I leave, I need them on by half way.
As stupid as it may sound, I have actually been looking forward to it changing. At least now we know it is dark, rather than halfway like it has been - therefore lights should be more effective / easier to pick out? Or is that just newbie logic?

Not newbie logic, the lights do get you noticed more. I look forward to dark commutes then look forward to light commutes at the end of winter.

been sort of dawn/dusk each ride in and out, out should be fully dark by the time i leave now, i'm not worried i've got lights enough to rival blackpool illuminations (at least since the recession)

You could have put this up yesterday or on Saturday Fossy, and saved me being knocked off by a taxi yesterday evening.

Ay-Ups on the front and an Exposure Flare on the back is way more visible in the dark than a faded old hi vis jacket in the light.
Be careful all.
