Clockwise or anti-clockwise?

This little bugger is causing me some trouble

it’s a kona blast not sure if makes vary ,just doesn’t want to budge 😡
any tips gladly received ...thanks 😉

Crank bolts are standard thread.
 
Oops wrong component. For crank bolts use an extended length wrench. Wear gloves and be really careful about the sharp teeth.

Yep, anti-clockwise - got an old steel seatpost lying around? Use that to give more leverage on the allen wrench - or give it a tap with a hammer which will often free it.

Looks like you have a self extracting crank bolt system so turn anti clockwise.
Be careful when refitting to align the cut outs in the spindle to the crank before tightening.

Thanks 👍 useful info don’t, just the coggs to strip and clean , bike has been left outside for 2 winters in some ones garden the garden had even started to grow in the bike 😂

Steel seatpost did the trick .thanks .shame it wasn’t a self extracting one tho

Not self extracting ......that’s a shame as I haven’t a pulley
