I've been having a senior moment... only just realised you've experienced the joys of ineptitude that is a driver of a First bus... dangerous lot. I can almost guarantee that if I'm cycling into town from home and a bus overtakes me and if it's a First bus, the surprise is if I'm given enough room. The X1 used to go through the village and many times I was up close and personal with the side of the bus as the driver would be pulling back in to the side whilst still alongside me. Now they are just twits in the town itself.

Indeed, a first driver tipped someone I know off their bike and just drove off. Anyway I hope things go all right thomas. From my experience of complaining about dangerous antics on the road they won't do anything but whoever you report it to at the bus company will get very riled up and they may get a telling off for this reason (taking up their bosses time), not an official slap on the wrist.

I sent an email to First about one of their drivers, I was on the bus not cycling for a change. Two really good overtakes with lots of room and he showed real patience when a cycle dropped of the pavement onto the road in front of him without looking. Had no reply from them but they are now sending me spam emails

insist that the police follow up on the pulbic order offences commited by the driver and passenger. Also ask them to consider using a sec 59 anti social use of vehicle warning on the driver, in my opinion not used enough.

if all else fails the driver may think twice in the future.

glad to hear no damage to you or the bike by the way.
