Encountered this plonker on my way home the other day. Totally unnecessary, the roads were not that busy so waiting behind wouldn't have added that much to his journey. Sometimes I wonder what goes through these peoples minds.

Both passes shows clearly this persons impatience, not only was he a pain in the rear for you, but I would not have been impressed if I was the driver of the black BMW near the end there.

I've thought about it, but my local force seems very reluctant to deal with issues like this. I don't wish to make a name for myself as a "trouble maker", otherwise when I really do need their help I may not get it

I understand, but if you make a nuisance of yourself, it's just possible that they'll start to act more - especially if you complain to the Chief Constable or the Commissioner that you're not satisfied.
At the least I'd want plod to go and have a word with this driver.
