Coach Spotting....any CCrs do i or understand it??

Cycling in Cheshire I saw 2 guys sat on a motorway flyover....table, flasks, note books etc. 2 hours later they were still there so I stopped for a chat (nosey me).
These guys were from Somerset and came up to Cheshire just to 'tick off' coach companies AND individual coaches. They spend days simply ticking them off. Every Saturday is spent on the M5.
TBH....part of me me thought "how sad".....then I thought....."is it much different to train spotting/bird watching etc.
Just wondering if any CCrs do it.

Makes them happy and does no harm.

I sometimes drive past a truck stop on the A5 near Rugby, there is an Eddie Stobart yard near by and there is always a gaggle of Eddie Spotters sat on the bench outside.

They knew virtually every company there is.
One guy saw a coach....must have been 500 yds away....and I asked "why arent you noting that". He said "I already have it"......then gave me all the details. Amazing.

Gets them out in the fresh(ish) air I guess. No weirder than lorry, train or plane spotting I guess...or fishing which I really don't get (unless all these guys do it to get away from their families)

London has its own, but split much like the railway books used to be.

Most days there is at least one photographer, often more, at the entrance to Leeds Bus and Coach station recording the comings and goings.

Does no harm and gets them out of the house, I suppose.
